Speaker:difference. And now, please enjoy this
Speaker:uninterrupted episode with Sean the Viking Zimmer.
Speaker:When I was looking at your website, I saw something that I
Speaker:found really beautiful and I wanted to ask you about it.
Speaker:And you said, I'm proud to say I'm a righteous man, a selfless man,
Speaker:an honest man, a man of God and a man of good.
Speaker:That most definitely was not always the case.
Speaker:So I'm really curious because there's two things that one is
Speaker:like, what a beautiful way to own yourself, to really step into,
Speaker:like this is how I am, this is who I am in the world and to really
Speaker:state that. And then also the acknowledgement
Speaker:that wasn't always the case.
Speaker:And so the question I have for you
Speaker:is what was going on or how did you change to become the man you
Speaker:are today? And why wasn't that always?
Speaker:Why weren't you always the man that you are today?
Speaker:Well, the most simplest answer on that would be consciousness.
Speaker:Unconscious before conscious now.
Speaker:To dive into a deeper well, that
Speaker:would be. All the, you know, past trauma,
Speaker:the things that have happened in life that didn't go the way I
Speaker:wanted as a child, you know, neglected maybe here or there and
Speaker:ways of acting out and surrounding yourself in the wrong environment,
Speaker:the wrong crowd.
Speaker:And escaping through drugs,
Speaker:alcohol, sex. At a younger age, adrenaline from
Speaker:stealing cars? That's a whole nother story we
Speaker:could get into on what wound me up in another province in canada here
Speaker:really? No care for anyone else that's
Speaker:hiding from the truth, hiding from my feelings, doing whatever I
Speaker:could to just gain some instant gratification.
Speaker:And that was a very selfless process, selfless way of living.
Speaker:And as I.
Speaker:Dove into mentors, self-help
Speaker:books. This started, you know,
Speaker:entertaining. This burning desire inside to
Speaker:become better and to be more.
Speaker:Knowing that I am more.
Speaker:Brought me into a state of consciousness that is, you know,
Speaker:reversed. All of that and I appreciate the
Speaker:past and what it allows me to resonate with and others and share
Speaker:my experiences and help direct people away from such a path,
Speaker:learning the easy way instead of the hard way as I did.
Speaker:And you know, the spiritual world most definitely has been a huge
Speaker:side of that for me.
Speaker:Coming into God and my beliefs as
Speaker:such and changing really my complete outlook on the world and
Speaker:understanding just how much more there is to it and.
Speaker:How much more I have to give instead of take take?
Speaker:How did you? Because I've heard you say that
Speaker:before around being a man of God and so for me I'll just give a
Speaker:brief little insight in that I have always felt uncomfortable
Speaker:with religion. I from a very young age it just
Speaker:seemed like everyone was trying to convince me that I needed to join
Speaker:their club and that if I didn't join their club I was going to the
Speaker:bad place.
Speaker:But everyone had a different set
Speaker:of rules as to what would get me to the good place.
Speaker:And I noticed that they all seem to have very similar.
Speaker:They were.
Speaker:There were aspects in each
Speaker:religion that felt that resonated with me, that felt true.
Speaker:But then they limited it by saying, well, you know, if you
Speaker:don't join our club.
Speaker:And I noticed that when I really
Speaker:committed to music and to my storytelling and my songwriting,
Speaker:that suddenly all these people started coming up to me and
Speaker:saying, oh, you must be Christian or you must be Buddhist or you
Speaker:must be Muslim because you're saying this thing from this verse
Speaker:and that thing from that verse.
Speaker:And I was like, yes, yes.
Speaker:To get it.
Speaker:It's all has elements of the truth
Speaker:in it.
Speaker:And it took me a long time to be
Speaker:comfortable with saying, yes, I am a man of God.
Speaker:As you so beautifully put it, I am a man of God and I have a deep
Speaker:relationship to spirit.
Speaker:And I really do my best to allow
Speaker:spirit to guide me.
Speaker:And so that's kind of my story,
Speaker:which is why I'm curious around, like, how did you come to that
Speaker:place from what sounds like the distraction, the desire to just
Speaker:numb it all and escape it all? And what brought you now to being
Speaker:a man of God? Wall and greatly expressed on your
Speaker:front. I resonate with that very similar
Speaker:story. always deep down I knew there was
Speaker:something greater, but never gave it the time of day.
Speaker:Even the slightest thought beyond that, because of religion, because
Speaker:of the divide, the fear, people saying, you know, going to be part
Speaker:of this club.
Speaker:It has to be this way or you are,
Speaker:you're damned forever and you're going to hell.
Speaker:And that just never resonated.
Speaker:Didn't sit well with me.
Speaker:My intuition just said no, that's incorrect.
Speaker:And I didn't dive actually in deeper, trying to learn for
Speaker:myself. Until jeez, i think it was just
Speaker:over two years ago now.
Speaker:I would have been, you know, I've
Speaker:been a huge self development junkie for the last decade and
Speaker:continuously focusing on better health physically and mentally.
Speaker:It used to train people with personal training, group fitness
Speaker:online training, which transitioned into lifestyle
Speaker:coaching. And always in my logos I had mind,
Speaker:body, spirit and honestly the spirit part never really, I never
Speaker:understood why that was there.
Speaker:It just came from one of the
Speaker:courses I took to certify as a trainer and finally that came full
Speaker:circle in the process of me, as I really started giving myself more,
Speaker:I started making this transition just naturally to want to help
Speaker:people more, even if that didn't help me in terms of a monetary
Speaker:value as it used to be when I'd run business and started letting
Speaker:go of that and just really wanting to help.
Speaker:If I can help you, I wanna help you.
Speaker:I don't care if I'm getting anything from it.
Speaker:I wanna help you.
Speaker:And really soon I realized I was
Speaker:getting more than ever on what that was fulfilling inside of me.
Speaker:And that was what brought me that transition from, you know, just
Speaker:personal training to lifestyle coaching, helping people when they
Speaker:were in a tough spot, just understanding.
Speaker:I had so many different, you know, beautiful mentors to pull from,
Speaker:pieces of advice, stories that could relate with people, that
Speaker:would help them get out of that rut and really take ownership of
Speaker:their life and in that process.
Speaker:I was building my persona online
Speaker:and in the community and I was enjoying that.
Speaker:And this is when I had started to dive down the world of
Speaker:psychedelics. And at first I was utilizing
Speaker:psychedelics, specifically magic mushrooms, to ground myself.
Speaker:I didn't know about what I was doing at the time, but bring my
Speaker:ego down and just really let go and be.
Speaker:I loved how it just made me just.
Speaker:Forget about everything and just
Speaker:be in the moment.
Speaker:Enjoy the blades of grass in front
Speaker:of me, the trees around.
Speaker:And a few experiences, and that is
Speaker:when God came to me and spoke to me at the time through music.
Speaker:I used to call myself music illiterate.
Speaker:I could never hear lyrics, could never hear him.
Speaker:I love music, but I couldn't hear it.
Speaker:People would laugh at me when they hear me listening to a song.
Speaker:That was my favorite, you know, they're talking about.
Speaker:And it didn't resonate with who I was so and then all of a sudden,
Speaker:boom, I could just hear music and my hair stood up and it was
Speaker:speaking directly to me and.
Speaker:I almost quickly thought I was
Speaker:going crazy until I was left with a series of names to contact and
Speaker:that I know was given to me not just for the help, but proof.
Speaker:Because I contacted these few people and saved their lives that
Speaker:night and they had a dream about me and all connected.
Speaker:I could dive quite deeper into that.
Speaker:So that gave me that little bit of no, it's not just the psychedelic
Speaker:show on there was something there and that you know I started
Speaker:consuming then psychedelics once a month to connect spiritually.
Speaker:And I didn't have a profound experience as such again until
Speaker:about six months down the road, where I had what felt like the
Speaker:spirit of Jesus Christ come to me.
Speaker:And it felt as such, because what
Speaker:happened is I felt a massive sacrifice from this being, this
Speaker:spirit that was around me.
Speaker:And showing my ego for what it was
Speaker:as six months prior, I had this huge awakening.
Speaker:God is real and I'm on the right path, he said.
Speaker:I've given you your path, your voice that stands outside the
Speaker:crowd, your rough look around the edges and attitude because you
Speaker:have a message that's going to resonate with this group of people
Speaker:over here that's the same as these over here, but just in a different
Speaker:delivery. So keep going.
Speaker:Keep going, my son and I did, but not to the fullest extent.
Speaker:And that's because.
Speaker:There you go.
Speaker:Got in the way.
Speaker:Originally on mine, I had memes
Speaker:that went viral.
Speaker:My daughter and I, that's what
Speaker:really started my presence online and getting into helping people.
Speaker:And in these memes going viral, I noticed just how judgmental people
Speaker:were, and hateful on the littlest things, picking apart, you know, I
Speaker:put a white vignette around my picture and they were picking
Speaker:apart my ashy feet, wondering what's going on, if I have a
Speaker:disease or this and that.
Speaker:Really, it's just a filter that
Speaker:was, you know, encroaching on all these different things.
Speaker:And that actually impacted me quite a bit.
Speaker:I didn't want to admit it.
Speaker:And I just started speaking on
Speaker:this really, how it really made me insecure.
Speaker:And so in this process, when I was first shown, yes, share your
Speaker:message, share your voice, trying to get there, I was still worried
Speaker:about having to take the perfect picture, perfect video, make sure
Speaker:everything was perfect, worrying about my physical form.
Speaker:So people couldn't pick me apart that much.
Speaker:Falling short of the delivery on really what mattered right so
Speaker:stuck on physical form so when I had this happen to me, the second
Speaker:spiritual experience, I felt the sacrifice and felt just terrible
Speaker:for not giving myself and I felt like I never felt was Jesus Christ
Speaker:and. As I share that story and even
Speaker:just sometimes I'll visit a Christian Church, I feel called to
Speaker:go do so and people automatically think I'm Christian and i wouldn't
Speaker:say I am.
Speaker:I'm sure one day if I study the
Speaker:Bible enough, I could probably find all my beliefs in there, just
Speaker:the way I would decipher the scripture compared to most, right?
Speaker:You know, intuitively I've always felt reincarnation is a real thing
Speaker:and many other things which has allowed me to let go so much and
Speaker:see this life is such a minimal, really blip on the map.
Speaker:So that is really in a nutshell how it first began and I
Speaker:transitioned. To fully diving in and renouncing
Speaker:many things in my devotion and hitting a point now where I have
Speaker:that connection in many ways not just through music and don't need
Speaker:technics anymore as well.
Speaker:Diving in through meditation just
Speaker:on a daily basis.
Speaker:Not really came in tune from
Speaker:raising my vibration which was the preceding factor before that.
Speaker:Focusing on my health, be more selfless raising that vibration
Speaker:off coming out of my heart space and opening up and aligning with
Speaker:myself. So that was you know, it's been a
Speaker:beautiful transformation and.
Speaker:That's, you know, one of my
Speaker:favorite things is when I meditate morning and evening, diving into
Speaker:it and just getting into that space and disconnecting with the
Speaker:form, the physical form, and, you know, the ego, the pain body, and
Speaker:realizing who the true self inside is.
Speaker:Well, you certainly bringing me a lot of hope in this moment because
Speaker:I've been on this path for years now and still really struggle with
Speaker:some of the things I hear you.
Speaker:Are really confronting
Speaker:wholeheartedly, like meditation.
Speaker:Meditation is such a painful one
Speaker:for me still.
Speaker:So it's really beautiful to hear.
Speaker:And the reminder is like just show up one more time than I fall down.
Speaker:Like that's kind of the that's what I'm getting.
Speaker:You know what? I'm on meditation, Nathan.
Speaker:I really resonate with that because it's something I had such
Speaker:difficulty with. Meditation was one of the things
Speaker:that I was telling my clients to do at least 10 minutes a day that
Speaker:I was struggling to do.
Speaker:And I don't like, you know,
Speaker:telling you to do something I'm not doing.
Speaker:And I would struggle just trying to do 10 minutes a day, trying to
Speaker:do 10 minutes a day.
Speaker:And then I came across a Yogi
Speaker:speaking on it, on how he said don't worry about it doesn't have
Speaker:to be this way or that way.
Speaker:Take it as it comes.
Speaker:Your mind's busy, your mind busy, your mind's blank.
Speaker:Create your mind blank.
Speaker:Focus on your breath.
Speaker:If you want to just go into it, get into that space and that is
Speaker:really what opened my eyes to and started enjoying it more.
Speaker:And then.
Speaker:When I had one experience again on
Speaker:psychedelics, where I was just, the whole journey was just boom, I
Speaker:just disconnected from my body, completely weightless.
Speaker:You know, I had a lot of pain in my body and I was just showing me
Speaker:you can do this through meditation, without this drug,
Speaker:without this plant medicine.
Speaker:And so I started diving into it a
Speaker:lot deeper and then understanding also yoga more on your the reality
Speaker:of what yoga is not the western view of it, just as these
Speaker:movements, right, the movements of hatha yoga is actually so you can
Speaker:sit and meditations.
Speaker:So I have recently stopped
Speaker:focusing on my, you know physical appearance and wanting to have
Speaker:more muscle and focusing on more on flexibility and function.
Speaker:And now I can actually sit with cross leg it almost half Lotus
Speaker:pose, these different things that have been slowly progressing and
Speaker:it's been a beautiful thing.
Speaker:But again when I when I first made
Speaker:that kind of breakthrough, it was like, hey, you gotta lie down and
Speaker:do it, lie down and do it because I had a terrible back pain.
Speaker:You know, I was also folks who I'm supposed to be sitting like this,
Speaker:right upright. Sure, yeah you want to get to that
Speaker:point but if that's going to be a barrier.
Speaker:To even getting close to crossing over, well then you know, step
Speaker:back and just start with small steps.
Speaker:Of that, start with small steps.
Speaker:Like, I think that is just one of
Speaker:the beautiful messages that's missing in our society so much
Speaker:today. It's all about like getting to the
Speaker:top of the mountain instead of like, well, how many steps did you
Speaker:take and what was the quality of each steps that you took that got
Speaker:you there? And that's just such a critical
Speaker:piece. So I I'm, I mean, I'm loving
Speaker:everything you're saying.
Speaker:I really like.
Speaker:There's so many directions I could head off in.
Speaker:Now I need to choose one.
Speaker:But I think there's a piece in
Speaker:there around, OK, so there's the practical side.
Speaker:I'm very interested to hear the story around actually having this
Speaker:experience that you had the first Big Awakening where there was like
Speaker:this connection with these people who's and the saving lives.
Speaker:Like I want to get to that.
Speaker:I think first I would just like to
Speaker:hear practically around the plant medicines and psychedelics because
Speaker:I think for many people listening who are either somewhat
Speaker:experienced or curious, etcetera, there's obviously a big step
Speaker:around how do I do this responsibly.
Speaker:How do I do it safely? And so when you were working with
Speaker:these medicines for you, what was the way that you would put set and
Speaker:setting? Basically, how did you build your
Speaker:structure that enabled you to have these journeys and have these
Speaker:experiences in a way that was beneficial rather than harmful?
Speaker:Yeah, absolutely. So with the plan medicines, you know when I was
Speaker:younger it was never plant medicine was a drug.
Speaker:You know see the walls moving and enjoy it and what not.
Speaker:And I won't lie in the, you know the last two years I have caught
Speaker:myself utilizing it as a drug to enjoy the lasers and the shiny
Speaker:lights in my home and what not.
Speaker:But I've made that transition to
Speaker:you know Qatar out completely and really dive in just for the
Speaker:spiritual connection. So backing up to, you know your
Speaker:question, the first setting for me when I started.
Speaker:Utilizing them, as I said, just ground myself and bring my ego
Speaker:down. I was going for either a run or a
Speaker:bike ride in the park.
Speaker:Now, I wouldn't suggest going on
Speaker:your bike. That was, you know, there's
Speaker:sometimes that I shouldn't have been on my bicycle, but that's
Speaker:where it started.
Speaker:And I actually was listening to
Speaker:this. I got into the habit.
Speaker:My setting was go to the park and listen to one of my favorite audio
Speaker:books, the seven laws of spiritual success by Deepak Chopra, to an
Speaker:hour and 11 minutes, if you put it on 1 2 speed.
Speaker:Nice speech, little slow for my liking, and that was my go too.
Speaker:And it was a good, just really fulfilling journey for me.
Speaker:And then I went to do that this one time.
Speaker:And within 5 minutes I took my tea and I jumped on my bicycle was off
Speaker:to head to the park.
Speaker:This was 15 minutes away from my
Speaker:home. And five minutes in, this is
Speaker:before the medicine that kicked in.
Speaker:I felt the most strongest intuitive.
Speaker:Draw inside of me to turn around, turn around and go back home.
Speaker:I was like, what? No, I'm excited to go to the park.
Speaker:It's a beautiful day.
Speaker:I just had this tea.
Speaker:I'm gonna go enjoy frolicking around in the park.
Speaker:And then I was like, no, go home, go home.
Speaker:And all of a sudden a voice spoke in my head that was not mine, I
Speaker:said. Turn around and go home.
Speaker:I was like, whoa.
Speaker:I was halfway to the park.
Speaker:I turned around.
Speaker:I couldn't fight it anymore.
Speaker:Turn around, went home.
Speaker:And just such a negative feeling
Speaker:started coming over me.
Speaker:I was sitting on my couch and was
Speaker:what most would call a bad trip, which I say is often what you
Speaker:want. You need to turn into that.
Speaker:It's got everything you're looking for.
Speaker:Don't fight it.
Speaker:And I try to fight it.
Speaker:But then I said, what can I do? I had this playlist I made on my
Speaker:phone called Soul Music.
Speaker:Never listened to it again.
Speaker:I was telling about music.
Speaker:I really was trying to learn
Speaker:music, but I just still couldn't connect.
Speaker:I have beautiful.
Speaker:Songs by just never like resonated
Speaker:what the message actually was.
Speaker:So I had this.
Speaker:Playlist called soul Music, kind of an hour long.
Speaker:I hit play on that and went and jumped in my bed and put my sheets
Speaker:over my head and I was just like, let's just ride this out and
Speaker:that's when it happened.
Speaker:That playlist.
Speaker:And I know because actually I had my GPS on for when I was going for
Speaker:the bike racks.
Speaker:I always like to track everywhere
Speaker:I go. And I tracked for almost 3 hours,
Speaker:the music played for three hours and my phone doesn't actually want
Speaker:to playlist plays, it stops.
Speaker:And these songs all spoke to me
Speaker:and I was able to ask questions and the songs concert and it was
Speaker:clear. And again, for awhile I didn't
Speaker:tell anybody this and like, you sound fucking crazy, dude.
Speaker:Like man, you're gonna make people think God doesn't exist for sure
Speaker:if that's where it's all coming from.
Speaker:The psychedelic world.
Speaker:So that's really where that has
Speaker:started. And that was a set again, now that
Speaker:I have transitioned to utilizing it, well, actually my most recent
Speaker:journey was a clear indicator.
Speaker:You don't need this.
Speaker:You have the answers that you're seeking right now.
Speaker:Maybe in the future you do.
Speaker:But yeah, it was a complete and I
Speaker:already knew that.
Speaker:Was aware of it, so it's quite
Speaker:interesting to see that just in powerful message.
Speaker:But my favorite setting for utilized in such a manner was a 5
Speaker:gram dose of penis envy, which is the strongest, strongest strain
Speaker:that I'm aware of.
Speaker:And taking that as a T and I would
Speaker:start with a meditation, really setting intentions on that,
Speaker:praying with it in my hand on what I'm looking for, what I'm seeking
Speaker:to release, the guidance I'm looking to receive, and then I
Speaker:would go into my room in the dark, shut off all the lights.
Speaker:And just see where it takes me.
Speaker:And so no distractions, cause it's
Speaker:awesome looking at, you know, I have all these lasers and stuff
Speaker:around the house for all the parties we throw and whatnot.
Speaker:Honestly, it's awesome.
Speaker:Sitting there with a bunch of
Speaker:shrooms and looking at those lasers, it's like just mind
Speaker:blowing, but it's distracting from what you could actually be
Speaker:receiving. So that's my preferred setting,
Speaker:you know, and a lot of people, it would be best they did it with a
Speaker:guide. The one thing I do think some with
Speaker:a guide.
Speaker:Pros and cons with that?
Speaker:Because I think on my experience, you know, if I had a guide with
Speaker:me, if I had a person with me, I don't know if I ever would have
Speaker:broke through. You know, they would have maybe
Speaker:interrupted. I was having such a hard time,
Speaker:right? So I don't know if I would have
Speaker:received that as I did because I was just so alone and so
Speaker:susceptible to what needed to come to me in and save me at the time.
Speaker:And that's where I'll, you know, my second experience, as I said
Speaker:that experience in the washroom.
Speaker:I got down on my knees crying when
Speaker:I felt that sacrifice, knowing that I wasn't giving what I should
Speaker:have been.
Speaker:As profound as my experience was
Speaker:six months prior dropped down and he's crying.
Speaker:Then I got up, leaned against the bathroom wall, and I had just
Speaker:taken a shower and instant my mind could get off the wall.
Speaker:It's a brown wall.
Speaker:You're going to get us big
Speaker:watermark on it.
Speaker:And sure enough, I did.
Speaker:And the watermark.
Speaker:And this was this to me, was just
Speaker:set. Everything in stone again was the
Speaker:perfect shape of these giant lips.
Speaker:Now to back up for the last two
Speaker:months I have artwork all over here around me and it's all
Speaker:motivational. Artwork by iconic and iconic also
Speaker:has this artwork of these lips in different things like gold
Speaker:dripping money flowers.
Speaker:My daughter and I have been
Speaker:wanting to purchase one of these paintings of the lips and put it
Speaker:in this very spot in the bathroom.
Speaker:So that was the message to me yes
Speaker:and it's actually my birthday actually, as of an hour into this
Speaker:journey now, it was in the middle of the night.
Speaker:I was like, yes, school and purchased that, put it here to
Speaker:remember and I go on iconic and of course they just made one that was
Speaker:with butterflies, the butterfly flick metamorphosis.
Speaker:So I purchased that and put it in there.
Speaker:That was a staple on that.
Speaker:So that's, you know, in a nutshell
Speaker:my journey.
Speaker:I've experienced many other things
Speaker:since then so.
Speaker:Well, let's go.
Speaker:Let's get into the just cause like what you're talking about.
Speaker:These so-called synchronicities of things lining up.
Speaker:I actually remember again, just a brief intro to the next story I'm
Speaker:interested in hearing.
Speaker:But when my beloved Kylie and I
Speaker:were first together, we decided to do a journey together.
Speaker:Must have been maybe two or three grams each.
Speaker:Like it wasn't a sort of hero, the heroic dose, but still enough that
Speaker:things got intense, and especially with someone we'd known each other
Speaker:maybe a year at that point.
Speaker:So things were still quite new and
Speaker:I still.
Speaker:Credit that experience with the
Speaker:how deep and how long our relationship has lasted at this
Speaker:point. But one of the things that
Speaker:happened that night was that at one point we were lying next to
Speaker:each other, kind of just like cuddling, just spooning just and
Speaker:it was intense.
Speaker:Especially then I was much less
Speaker:experienced with plant medicines and those kind of transformative
Speaker:spaces. And so there was like a lot of
Speaker:intensity and in me, I'm the communicator that's my one of my
Speaker:gifts in life is to be the one who brings the message and shares the
Speaker:message of life.
Speaker:If my people and so with Kylie,
Speaker:she was lying there and they would be quiet and then I'd have this
Speaker:feeling of energy getting stuck and it would start to feel dark
Speaker:and scary and intense and the balance of energy would be out of
Speaker:alignment. And as I felt it, there was this
Speaker:urge to speak to it, to say I witnessed this, I see what's
Speaker:happening and I would speak it.
Speaker:And as I would speak it exactly.
Speaker:The thing that Kylie was struggling with in that moment
Speaker:would be the thing that I was speaking.
Speaker:And it would then release the energy and we could like, find out
Speaker:equilibrium again.
Speaker:So those, and there are just so
Speaker:many of those kind of stories, which is just amazing.
Speaker:So I would love to hear this one of how has you had that awakening
Speaker:where there were things that proved to you, that helped you to
Speaker:really know when you came out the other side that this is real.
Speaker:This is not just me thinking I'm off on some journey with some
Speaker:psychedelic drugs. Yeah, absolutely. And I have a few
Speaker:friends who do guides, guided journeys and that they always
Speaker:speak on that what you just mentioned the connection to the
Speaker:energy, the shift and feeling that what the person is going through
Speaker:and that drama.
Speaker:It's funny.
Speaker:Every time i do mushrooms, I actually my back pain i feel
Speaker:completely different. It's a trapped energy.
Speaker:It's like I'm holding out there for a reason, something I still
Speaker:haven't unlocked the keys to and understanding.
Speaker:So yeah, as I said the profound, you know confirmation that one
Speaker:night with the painting and that is with the lip mark and I being
Speaker:exactly the painting we were looking at.
Speaker:And that's what brought me to talk to reach out to a friend of mine
Speaker:who is a pastor and Christianity start doing a Bible study because
Speaker:I was like, well, I felt sacrificed with sacrifice, with
Speaker:Jesus Christ, right.
Speaker:And started diving into it always
Speaker:intuitively though I felt reincarnation to be real thing,
Speaker:these different things that really fell outside the box of what most
Speaker:in that religion perceive.
Speaker:So back to one thing you said
Speaker:there. I resonate with people kind of
Speaker:coming out me sometimes they see me going to church and then I talk
Speaker:about this or that, and they get very mad that I'm seeing anything
Speaker:outside the box and what I loved.
Speaker:When my pastor came over, he said,
Speaker:hey, Sean, you're saying things I don't agree with, but I'm not
Speaker:going to tell you that.
Speaker:I just want you to know that is
Speaker:something I don't agree with.
Speaker:I'm going to tell you right now,
Speaker:but I'll never say anything because that's between you and
Speaker:God. That's your progressive
Speaker:revelation. I wish that was the approach that
Speaker:I had as a child because I never would have steered away right It
Speaker:was just all-encompassing So the first time when I was left with
Speaker:names, one specific name was an individual that I used to be very
Speaker:good friends with when I moved to Winnipeg here and it hadn't talked
Speaker:to him for, I don't know, six seven eight ten years.
Speaker:I can't remember how long it's been.
Speaker:I've never think about him nothing i just came to me.
Speaker:And so I reached out to him that evening and the next morning he
Speaker:messaged me back and he said, holy shit, man, like you came to my
Speaker:mind just a day ago.
Speaker:To reach out and but I'm in such a
Speaker:low place that hit like rock bottom of my drinking and drug
Speaker:use. My out of the house.
Speaker:I was in pretty well like a crack house last night, just about ready
Speaker:to actually give up on my life.
Speaker:And so I told them what happened.
Speaker:I was like, God gave me last night.
Speaker:And that's new for me to say.
Speaker:I sound crazy saying this, but we
Speaker:need to connect, man.
Speaker:I'm going to help you.
Speaker:And so he turned his life around and got sober and steering
Speaker:towards, you know, developing an addiction counseling program.
Speaker:Actually as well.
Speaker:So that was a huge one.
Speaker:Then a few other individuals that reached out to that or they just
Speaker:completely changed their life that night.
Speaker:And they're like, wow, that message you sent me, I just give
Speaker:it a message to send and A way to deliver it.
Speaker:And it made just the lasting imprint.
Speaker:And these are people that I didn't really know online, but I was
Speaker:given their name.
Speaker:So I was quite interesting.
Speaker:So that those first two experiences were very profound for
Speaker:me to look back on and never be able to really shake my head and
Speaker:say, no, that was all in your mind yeah yeah, those are those are
Speaker:critical for cause.
Speaker:The mind and the ego is so good at
Speaker:being like it was just, you know, synchrony, like it could have just
Speaker:happened to anyone.
Speaker:It's just whatever.
Speaker:And then but there's some stories where it's like, I know what that
Speaker:felt like. I know how crazy the odds of that
Speaker:happening are like this.
Speaker:You can't overcome that.
Speaker:So I'd love to hear you mentioned something around moving from anger
Speaker:to love because obviously the context here and part of the
Speaker:reason for this conversation, the reason I know about you is because
Speaker:you have been a voice for.
Speaker:Sovereignty and a voice for
Speaker:liberty and human rights.
Speaker:I mean it's the foundational stuff
Speaker:of like what it means to be human and you've really chosen some very
Speaker:strong stands around.
Speaker:No, I wouldn't say ignoring, but
Speaker:consciously. Consciously choosing an alternate
Speaker:path to the one that your government has set for you.
Speaker:For example, you're in Canada and all these lockdowns and shutdowns,
Speaker:you can't do this, but everyone's doing that instead and just like
Speaker:things that didn't make sense to you.
Speaker:And so I'm really curious how that aligned not just in the actions
Speaker:you took, but in the way you felt about it.
Speaker:Because it sounds like initially there was the sense of that you
Speaker:were judging that you were angry and you wanted to like, I'm going
Speaker:to take you down kind of thing and then something shifted and now
Speaker:when you speak.
Speaker:About it, there's a sense of love
Speaker:and understanding and actually show saw a brief video of you at
Speaker:the trucker convoy where you were in the town and you were even
Speaker:saying to the army guys on the other side with their big armor
Speaker:and their helmets and their Shields, and you were like,
Speaker:listen, I have only love for you.
Speaker:Like, I'm not judging you.
Speaker:I just, I see you.
Speaker:I know that.
Speaker:You know that this isn't right.
Speaker:And I'm calling you out on that.
Speaker:And I just, I'd love to hear you speak to that journey from rage
Speaker:and anger and judgment to love and understanding without.
Speaker:What's still having clear boundaries?
Speaker:And that's a very powerful distinction.
Speaker:It's not just our love and light and everything's cool, but it's
Speaker:like, hey, I love you enough to be strong in this.
Speaker:Absolutely and that's something I should try to emphasize a little
Speaker:bit more when I talk on it still setting those clear boundaries,
Speaker:still standing to protect what is right and definitely that was a
Speaker:transition I made you know when the lockdowns came when the news.
Speaker:Per spread about what was happening.
Speaker:And instantly my intuition said, no, that's not right.
Speaker:And people aren't going to listen to this.
Speaker:And now this is at a time where I had.
Speaker:Who was making the transition away?
Speaker:I was doing most of my life coaching online and I was making
Speaker:the transition away from one-on-one coaching into virtual
Speaker:programs. I developed a virtual program two
Speaker:years prior and I was taking notes for two years, taking feedback and
Speaker:about to revamp it into something I really wanted.
Speaker:A gift to the world where well-rounded way to just change
Speaker:your life and take ownership.
Speaker:And so this is at the time where I
Speaker:adjust, emptied my bank account to purchase all the professional
Speaker:gear. To execute on that the best that I
Speaker:could. And I was writing a book as well,
Speaker:so I was really in just bought all those gears time to figure out how
Speaker:to do it.
Speaker:How to use the damn camera, how to
Speaker:use the computer, the video editing software, the green
Speaker:screen, all this stuff to develop this virtual interactive program
Speaker:and. When that happened, I was like,
Speaker:OK, well people aren't gonna listen to this, get back to
Speaker:workshop and just keep going.
Speaker:And then I think six months, nine
Speaker:months later, I realized people were listening and.
Speaker:Then they said you couldn't have more than one person over at your
Speaker:home or even in your yard.
Speaker:And I just like enough is enough.
Speaker:Like, this is ridiculous.
Speaker:Originally, a couple months into
Speaker:realizing people were listening, I wished I had a storefront, that I
Speaker:could be that shining light in the city to, like, show you, hey, you
Speaker:can say no.
Speaker:Whatever they want to ticket you
Speaker:have, try to close your door.
Speaker:Follow Ian Smith, my man.
Speaker:And in the states, who took his damn door off his gym, he led the
Speaker:way for us, right? That was an inspiration for where
Speaker:I went. And so that's when I jumped online
Speaker:and I made this deal.
Speaker:And this is another thing that we
Speaker:could talk about and stealing that confidence on the reality of God.
Speaker:Because I made a deal.
Speaker:I said, OK, I'm going to put all
Speaker:my stuff aside, right? I just empty my account.
Speaker:I mean, emptied.
Speaker:I run things real close.
Speaker:Times like I didn't have a safety net, nothing.
Speaker:I'm gonna put everything off to the side and I'm going to do what
Speaker:I know I need to do to help people in the community and then use that
Speaker:as a shining light for the reach I have online.
Speaker:So I have this yard my home is on just off of one of the busiest
Speaker:streets in Winnipeg.
Speaker:There's actually just a parking
Speaker:lot separating us with this bar.
Speaker:So and actually ironically, the
Speaker:parking lot is about 6 feet higher and great.
Speaker:So it's perfect for people that actually come and see exactly what
Speaker:I'm doing in my yard.
Speaker:Big bubble on one of the busiest
Speaker:streets. I used to teach boot camps, so.
Speaker:Gyms were closed, all these things were closed, right?
Speaker:People weren't allowed to interact with each other.
Speaker:I said alright, jumped on my social media and said.
Speaker:Come on down here for free boot camp classes every week.
Speaker:No matter what, I'm here.
Speaker:If it's just me or if it's 100 of
Speaker:you, don't care who tells me I can't.
Speaker:This is a place of safety.
Speaker:Come on down.
Speaker:And that is what started the movement in this Community that,
Speaker:you know, evolved into doing kids classes, weekly yoga class, weekly
Speaker:martial arts class, biweekly fires, comedy nights, karaoke
Speaker:nights, acts, trolling events like all these different things that
Speaker:bring people together and give them a place of safety and a place
Speaker:to inspire them to stand in their truth.
Speaker:And, you know, I can back up and talk about that deal I made
Speaker:because I said, hey, I'm gonna put everything off to the side, just
Speaker:make sure my bills are covered and it got really sketchy.
Speaker:And then all of a sudden just a random person would come around
Speaker:and be like, here, here's a large donation.
Speaker:I know you need this.
Speaker:And actually it happened one time
Speaker:where I got down on my knees.
Speaker:I was like, hey, I.
Speaker:Made, made-up Like I kept my end of the bargain, and here I am,
Speaker:almost three mortgage payments behind as of tomorrow, and they're
Speaker:gonna put my home in for foreclosure.
Speaker:I need 10 grand tomorrow.
Speaker:Thank you.
Speaker:And I said so with confidence.
Speaker:You know, when I pray, I don't, I
Speaker:don't request ever the odd time I'll stay.
Speaker:Like, hey, just in case you didn't notice, this is what's needed.
Speaker:Thank you for bringing it right.
Speaker:And that's what I did this time.
Speaker:And the next morning I forgot I had a call with this individual in
Speaker:Miami who runs a foundation out there.
Speaker:The phenom foundational.
Speaker:Give him a shout out.
Speaker:Eric, my man.
Speaker:I just absolutely love what he's
Speaker:brought to the table and now become a mentor of mine in a close
Speaker:friend. Had a call with him, and actually
Speaker:I've been putting it off for a while.
Speaker:I get a lot of requests online and you know, a lot of weirdos and
Speaker:stuff, so I don't, I don't give people the time of day often, as
Speaker:often as I should.
Speaker:So we finally had this call and
Speaker:jump on, and he's talked to me about, you know, I see what you're
Speaker:doing. I wanna help you fundraise so you
Speaker:can start the school that I see you want to do for kids and
Speaker:whatnot. And at the end of the call, he
Speaker:tells me, you know, I'm sure you're in a really kind of rough
Speaker:spot. I can.
Speaker:I have a feeling that you probably need some money.
Speaker:And I was like, yeah, that's rough.
Speaker:Yeah, for sure.
Speaker:But, you know, I'll figure it out
Speaker:and all. I'm going to send you a little bit
Speaker:of money to help you stay afloat.
Speaker:And we'll get on a call next week,
Speaker:do this, do this interview that I want to share out to the my
Speaker:sponsors, like, yeah, OK, whatever right rubbing it yes.
Speaker:Right after the call, 2 minutes later, alright, essentially a
Speaker:transfer on PayPal sends me 10 ground gift, exactly what I asked
Speaker:for. That happened two more times and
Speaker:when I absolutely needed it and actually been tested on my faith
Speaker:on that going into things when people are like, why don't you
Speaker:just really focus on your business or do this?
Speaker:You have so much you can monetize off of this community you build.
Speaker:I'm like, that's not the deal I made.
Speaker:That's not why I'm here.
Speaker:There may be a shift for that
Speaker:eventually sometime I do see that approaching, but right now I'm
Speaker:still to stay true on this deal I made.
Speaker:And so that's, you know, just.
Speaker:Whipping the story on really
Speaker:instilling that belief as well in the power of that connection that
Speaker:I've made. And yeah, so my stance, you know,
Speaker:the word got out quickly on the community.
Speaker:As I said, it evolved to all these different events.
Speaker:The word got out to the police quickly as well.
Speaker:They were there quite often trying to scare me into shutting down,
Speaker:handing me tickets over the fence, and I showed everybody.
Speaker:Big for you.
Speaker:And I did so with anger.
Speaker:As you mentioned, I was very angry at people enabling, getting behind
Speaker:things because they didn't want to have an unpopular opinion.
Speaker:Maybe they maybe they didn't want to just get a little bit backlash
Speaker:from their friends, family or workplace, or just wanted to be a
Speaker:part of the club or, you know, for whatever reason that they did.
Speaker:There were so many and I was very upset about it because I looked at
Speaker:them as the problem and that they were enabling all this to happen.
Speaker:That transition I made is I've dived deeper into my spirituality.
Speaker:I see this all as a great awakening and kind of part of a
Speaker:play. I think that is a story theme that
Speaker:is here for a reason and we have free will as people.
Speaker:But I do feel like there is a theme in the world that still
Speaker:plays out and that is what has allowed me to release and
Speaker:understand now. This is we can't have this
Speaker:beautiful awakening that is such on Fast forward right now if we
Speaker:didn't have those other people and all the ridiculousness that is
Speaker:grabbing people and shaking them to ask questions.
Speaker:I just like ask questions, my son.
Speaker:Look at what's happening.
Speaker:Wake up.
Speaker:So I've evolved to letting go and
Speaker:respecting everybody's journey and that's when, you know, I had one
Speaker:journey, I called my I am journey when I was showing we're all one.
Speaker:There is no difference.
Speaker:Like God is everything and
Speaker:everything. We're all one.
Speaker:We're all paid at the same consciousness.
Speaker:Just it's our pain, bodies and egos that could develop from
Speaker:society around us that trigger this being that's really not us
Speaker:that reacts to other things around us.
Speaker:And I understood that.
Speaker:I fell in the divide that was
Speaker:purposely put there and I wasn't helping anything.
Speaker:Sure, I help people have a safe place, but I could have done that
Speaker:out of love.
Speaker:Sure, it was nice for a lot of
Speaker:people at that time to see a man speaking up with aggressive,
Speaker:assertive direction. On what was going on and inspiring
Speaker:people to do so, but the benefit that had to them cause more divide
Speaker:on the other side where they weren't hearing any message I had
Speaker:to share so I could approach a much better way.
Speaker:Remember when I came across Aubrey Marcus, his podcast somewhere in
Speaker:time like that guys like me but like evolved 20 years from now
Speaker:like really coming out of a better place that's connecting people and
Speaker:that's the aim I've been making to just connect, to not divide but
Speaker:unite. And that definitely takes a lot of
Speaker:put in your ego aside and different things.
Speaker:But it's yeah.
Speaker:So it's been a huge evolution.
Speaker:Ottawa was one thing that really instilled that changed me
Speaker:completely. Going to Ottawa, the trucker
Speaker:convoy I was there for just about the entire time, minus the first
Speaker:two days, so like six weeks in total.
Speaker:And that completely changed me.
Speaker:Just seeing people coming together
Speaker:the way they did and just all the love it and I think everybody that
Speaker:went there that really embraced that.
Speaker:It changed them.
Speaker:It was just something beyond
Speaker:belief, really seeing everybody come together the way they did,
Speaker:you know, pulling garbage out of out of everywhere, shoveling
Speaker:streets. Bringing food in, smuggling, gas,
Speaker:whatever you had to do, people just did their part and did it and
Speaker:made it happen.
Speaker:We all stood there in sovereignty
Speaker:together and it was a beautiful thing that really.
Speaker:Just made me love people so much more.
Speaker:And that was the message of last year, you know, love thy neighbor
Speaker:as yourself. I kept getting it like it was
Speaker:already here, Sean, this is what you need to be doing.
Speaker:Love thy neighbor as yourself.
Speaker:I hear you, but fuck, it's hard.
Speaker:I'm like, I want to hit these people, which ended up happening.
Speaker:Actually, I did get an incident that we might dive into that I've
Speaker:talked to on my second podcast here and that I just put out the
Speaker:Vikings voice. So it was a message that I finally
Speaker:absorbed. Love thy neighbor as yourself,
Speaker:understanding it, like, and that was that.
Speaker:I am journey.
Speaker:That really helped me, you know,
Speaker:if I say.
Speaker:If you use this like, saying F you
Speaker:to me, we're all one in this, right.
Speaker:I know it's a hard concept for a lot of people to realize, but I
Speaker:feel that polarity in this world, the duality is there for a reason,
Speaker:to help us come back to who we truly are.
Speaker:And really, you know, if you people like, well, what about all
Speaker:those people suffering and this and that.
Speaker:Like, it's so terrible to say that, you know, I put out a post
Speaker:to their day.
Speaker:Like what you're receiving right
Speaker:now is what's best for the evolution of your consciousness
Speaker:and people speak on.
Speaker:What about those in concentration
Speaker:camps were not.
Speaker:Well, I can't cite the names of
Speaker:who they were, but I know there were people that had the same
Speaker:outlook as that.
Speaker:Same understanding.
Speaker:And the way I look at it is like if you hopped on, you know I have
Speaker:a wee here, the only video game that I'll play my daughter to
Speaker:play. Sometimes we jump on there and
Speaker:play Mortal Kombat where they're killing each other, right.
Speaker:It's just a video game, it's just one little blip and that's kind of
Speaker:how I look at this life.
Speaker:It's just really how real is it in
Speaker:retrospect on the grand scheme of things.
Speaker:So those are part of the things that have helped me in that
Speaker:evolution to just really release and respect others journeys and
Speaker:just focus on becoming my best self.
Speaker:Higher self and shine that light, being a lighthouse with the world.
Speaker:Wow there's I'm just resonating with so much you're saying right
Speaker:now it's the I thought that came up as you were speaking is.
Speaker:Well, there's a few parts to it, but it's an old saying that's it's
Speaker:better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
Speaker:And by the same token, someone else said and I will look up these
Speaker:quotes if I can find them and put them into the show notes just so
Speaker:people can go and like track down the readings a bit more.
Speaker:But another one that says.
Speaker:It might even be anyway, I don't
Speaker:know who says it, but it's basically that someone who says
Speaker:they're a pacifist but is not dangerous, is harmless, is not a
Speaker:pacifist. They're just harmless, like you
Speaker:can. I could say I'm a pacifist, but
Speaker:what does it matter if I couldn't do anything anyway?
Speaker:A real pacifist is someone who's deadly, someone who's incredibly
Speaker:dangerous and who is choosing peace.
Speaker:And really, what? I just, I'm wanting to reflect
Speaker:that for you right now.
Speaker:Because when I see you and I see
Speaker:how strong you are, and I see and I hear these stories of how at
Speaker:times you have been an angry man.
Speaker:Have even hurt people at times
Speaker:that your choice to be someone who is in love, which some could say
Speaker:is a pacifist in some ways, is to remember that we are all one.
Speaker:And that my that by you living your truth, you're not trying to
Speaker:deny someone else theirs.
Speaker:You're just living your truth.
Speaker:And that there is a big difference there.
Speaker:And so really just honoring that, what it means to be a true
Speaker:peaceful warrior or a man of peace or a pacifist.
Speaker:So thank you for that.
Speaker:Oh, absolutely and that's, you
Speaker:know, that's one of my most recent.
Speaker:Lessons and ongoing court case I have for when I did lose my temper
Speaker:on individual and really understanding true strength and
Speaker:powers and the restraint.
Speaker:You know, sheathing her sword,
Speaker:having the sword and knowing how to use it, but sheathing it and
Speaker:keeping that guard on until there was a time that's absolutely
Speaker:necessary. And I'm still undecided if that
Speaker:time would ever be of reality.
Speaker:And even the scripture, you know,
Speaker:on the meek shall inherit the earth.
Speaker:The word meek is something I think is one of the most misunderstood
Speaker:words out there.
Speaker:So it is, yeah, that restraint.
Speaker:That's for power is through strength, not allowing your pain
Speaker:body to react and everything get involved in the in the reaction
Speaker:from what's around you.
Speaker:Well, so, yeah.
Speaker:So I've come at this from kind of the opposite direction in a way,
Speaker:where I've been, well, maybe not the opposite direction, but I've
Speaker:focused a lot on the sort of spirit and the we are all oneness
Speaker:and at the expense in many ways of my actual physical health.
Speaker:So I've had sort of like, chronic pain issues and all kinds of stuff
Speaker:for many years.
Speaker:And instead of taking that as an
Speaker:invitation to take better care of my body, I kind of went deeper
Speaker:into like, oh, I must need to heal something emotionally, mentally.
Speaker:And you know, through what I called depression, what people
Speaker:call depression, which I now think is has a Jim Carrey says
Speaker:depression is your avatar, letting you know it's tired of the
Speaker:character you're playing.
Speaker:That's a good way to put it.
Speaker:I gotta, I gotta write that one down, yeah.
Speaker:Dude, Jim Carrey.
Speaker:That guy's a boss.
Speaker:Anyway, so what I've been recently realizing is that actually, if I
Speaker:take care of my vessel, like my health and my fitness, basically
Speaker:on a very practical term, that is that.
Speaker:Enables me to do a number of things.
Speaker:One, it enables me to become a dangerous man, to become a strong,
Speaker:dangerous man who can then be a real pacifist instead of just like
Speaker:a harmless man who's like, yeah, I choose peace because I can't
Speaker:choose anything else.
Speaker:And also that it enables me to
Speaker:live in a body that is so strong and vibrant and energized that I
Speaker:can really be of service.
Speaker:That the voice, the messages, the
Speaker:stories, the podcast, The Love, the all the things I'm here to
Speaker:bring. I have the capacity to do that.
Speaker:And the reason I'm bringing that up now is because.
Speaker:You have focused on that part in your life really strongly, being a
Speaker:strong, physically fit, healthy man.
Speaker:And I'm curious just again, for our listeners and for me and for
Speaker:anyone who comes across this, like how do you recommend people maybe
Speaker:who haven't focused on that area as much as they'd like to or
Speaker:realizing, wow, that would be really, that's a good resilience
Speaker:tool for me as to get strong in my body.
Speaker:What are some of the tips or the ways that you'd recommend people
Speaker:get started or improve in that area?
Speaker:Yeah, absolutely. And I think it's crucial, one of the biggest tips
Speaker:and it's something I've recently moved away and, you know, ego has
Speaker:been something I've been a topic of study of mine for quite some
Speaker:time and i'm really just starting to learn so much more about it
Speaker:that i thought I understood and had it be I was really taken back
Speaker:actually. And that was God's kind of
Speaker:humorously a few times of showing me that I didn't quite humorous,
Speaker:actually. A few of them I laugh on now.
Speaker:So one of the things is really, truly don't worry about how you
Speaker:look in the mirror.
Speaker:Careful with that.
Speaker:Be careful.
Speaker:Obviously you want to be
Speaker:presentable and in good health, but be very careful.
Speaker:The trap of looking in the mirror and especially with what
Speaker:everything you see on social media, you can really get stuck in
Speaker:your ego very quickly with that and get addicted to the changes
Speaker:you see, which you know could be a good, useful fuel for the fire.
Speaker:But it's a it's a very fine line to dance on, so be careful with
Speaker:that. Focus on functionality through
Speaker:overall health and some of the, you know, most simple tips that I
Speaker:would give people.
Speaker:Some of the biggest ones asleep
Speaker:actually prioritize good quality sleep, and it's something that we
Speaker:really take for granted or not necessarily take for granted, but
Speaker:just put to the wayside in this vast world we're living.
Speaker:Slow down.
Speaker:Be in the present moment, folks on
Speaker:sleep. Minimize your stress everywhere
Speaker:you can. And one of the best ways I've done
Speaker:that is realizing the bigger picture and letting go.
Speaker:You know, understanding that worrying robs you of your piece
Speaker:today. So those are some I know not
Speaker:directed to what many would think the first askers would be, but
Speaker:minimized ask get good quality sleep.
Speaker:Get out in the sun.
Speaker:You know, wake up and go to bed
Speaker:with the sun.
Speaker:Get out if you can't, even in the
Speaker:middle of winter, take your shirt off and let those rays hit you.
Speaker:That is your life source.
Speaker:Soak up that sun for these 10
Speaker:minutes in the morning, 10 minutes in the evening, at least.
Speaker:Preferably much longer than that.
Speaker:Hydration if you're drinking the
Speaker:tap water. I don't know where you are, but
Speaker:it's probably not a good idea here in Winnipeg, and I didn't even
Speaker:wake up to this until not too long ago.
Speaker:It's got tons of fluoride, chlorine, all these different
Speaker:things, and they're fine.
Speaker:Good quality.
Speaker:Drinking water and get that in you and eat real Whole Foods, right?
Speaker:Eat Whole Foods, real food, some of the biggest things.
Speaker:I suggest even just the easiest way to start, take soy and canola
Speaker:off your diet.
Speaker:And watch how much you're actually
Speaker:not eating anymore, as that stuff is in everything.
Speaker:And look into it on the damaging effects.
Speaker:Eat real Whole Foods, a balanced diet and breathwork that's huge.
Speaker:These different things, meditation.
Speaker:So these are really things that you can do that will ground you
Speaker:and bring you in a place of peace.
Speaker:And we haven't even talked about
Speaker:physical performance, physical exercise yet, right?
Speaker:And obviously that's going to be a key component, working out your
Speaker:body, whether it just be a fast walk, just start.
Speaker:Running, if you can, waits.
Speaker:Resistance training is huge.
Speaker:I'm definitely I suggest picking up some weights for sure.
Speaker:It's going to really help your body and help your metabolism as
Speaker:well. And one of the biggest things a
Speaker:lot of people you know.
Speaker:One of the key points I can say
Speaker:beyond that, without making it too confusing, too much information is
Speaker:make sure enough, a lot of people are in a position of wanting to
Speaker:lose weight and they don't eat enough and they put their body
Speaker:actually in starvation mode where their body is now storing on to
Speaker:their fat, holding it on for dear life, and burning down their
Speaker:muscle for energy to survive.
Speaker:And that's how she gonna bring her
Speaker:metabolism lower and you're gonna have the opposite result of what
Speaker:you're seeking. So those are some simple things
Speaker:I'm working out.
Speaker:You know, you don't have to get
Speaker:crazy with it, like complicated, but it's like, oh, well, you know,
Speaker:just workout, move your ass, pick up some things, pick up some heavy
Speaker:things, even just some water jugs, move them around freaking do this,
Speaker:that some squats, like, honestly just get moving the workouts you
Speaker:can, you can make those more technical down the road.
Speaker:You just have to keep it simple.
Speaker:But your food, your sleep, your
Speaker:stress, your sunlight, you're breathing, your water hydration,
Speaker:focus on those simple things to start.
Speaker:And then as you as you gain some traction, you're going to find
Speaker:yourself more interested and more able to absorb information as you
Speaker:research on better diet, on better exercise, because you build this
Speaker:confidence and more awareness and interest in the subject.
Speaker:Yeah, I mean, that's exactly what I've been experiencing.
Speaker:So it hasn't even been that long and it's kind of I've on and off
Speaker:i've been with trying out different exercise things and
Speaker:nothing's really stuck.
Speaker:And then literally in the last six
Speaker:weeks, it's really been that recent that I have recommitted
Speaker:because I was a surfer when I was young, I was really into surfing.
Speaker:That was my church, like that was my present moment awareness.
Speaker:There is no way that I can be on a wave and anywhere else but here
Speaker:now like this it doesn't work.
Speaker:And so and then I had some
Speaker:injuries along the way.
Speaker:I got into drugs and drinking
Speaker:women and all the and are prioritized.
Speaker:Other things, same similar story.
Speaker:Like I was escaping the pain that
Speaker:I had inside me and I thought and I was trying to fit into a society
Speaker:that had told me very clearly when I was a kid that I was not OK by
Speaker:the society standards.
Speaker:I was like, I just want to be
Speaker:honest and connect and have fun.
Speaker:Like fun and it was like, no,
Speaker:we're going to bully you and we're going to give you detention and
Speaker:we're gonna crush that beautiful spirit as much as we can till you
Speaker:conform. And I tried to conform.
Speaker:I tried hard anyway, so.
Speaker:Through it all, the chronic pain,
Speaker:all the things started to happen over the years and then surfing
Speaker:really kind of stopped being an option because of neck spasms,
Speaker:etcetera. Long story short, six weeks ago I
Speaker:finally really committed to Kettle Bells, which is something I've
Speaker:worked on and off with over the last few years, really always
Speaker:enjoyed it, but never like stayed consistent enough.
Speaker:And in the last six weeks, I mean it has given me just so much on so
Speaker:many levels that and I don't really look that different.
Speaker:It's been six weeks like, but I'm not.
Speaker:I enjoy looking in the mirror just because I actually think I look
Speaker:lovely. I was telling my partner I think I
Speaker:have like dysmorphia in a positive way.
Speaker:Like I always look in the moment like my body is lovely but but the
Speaker:difference that I'm noticing is the feeling of energy and
Speaker:strength. Like I started on 12 kilograms.
Speaker:Do you guys work in kilos? There is that.
Speaker:A pounds, but I know the difference.
Speaker:Yeah, OK, cool.
Speaker:So it's a lot of those Once Upon a
Speaker:time. There you go, there you go.
Speaker:So I started on 12 kilos and it was like hard.
Speaker:And then I moved up to 16 after a few weeks and I was like, wow,
Speaker:this is really hard.
Speaker:And now there are exercises that
Speaker:when I did them, like there's a 10 minute workout that I when I first
Speaker:tried it with 16 kilos, I thought I was going to throw up.
Speaker:Like I was literally collapsed on the ground, almost in tears.
Speaker:And now I can do it and I can do it.
Speaker:And at the end of it I'm like, I want to do something else, like
Speaker:let's keep swinging these kettle bells.
Speaker:And so I don't know, just for me starting because I've always tried
Speaker:to start like I said.
Speaker:The spirit like start with the
Speaker:breath and the meditation, and I think those are really valuable.
Speaker:But right now what I'm realizing is that if I start with getting my
Speaker:body really, like, strong and vibrant, for me there's a
Speaker:playfulness in that which is giving me more capacity to show up
Speaker:for all the other areas.
Speaker:So anyway.
Speaker:Well, I think that, well, that's really interesting to hear, right,
Speaker:because we like you said, we really kind of gone opposite
Speaker:directions, right. So I speak on what resonates with
Speaker:me on it because it was the physical first for me, but that
Speaker:brought me to that place of being able to raise my vibration and you
Speaker:know, you said something there.
Speaker:That I missed, I think, on one of
Speaker:the most important things, cut out the alcohol.
Speaker:It's bloody poison.
Speaker:If you want to enjoy a little bit
Speaker:here and there.
Speaker:I'm not saying that's something
Speaker:that you shouldn't do if you can keep it at that, but it is bloody
Speaker:poison for you and it's breaking down your body.
Speaker:So if you can cut that out to the greatest degree that you can,
Speaker:that's going to be one of the best things you can do as well.
Speaker:Kettle bells, you know when those workouts like, get functional?
Speaker:Move right, stretch that.
Speaker:Yoga is like the last six weeks.
Speaker:I've gone through a transition that's just changed my life.
Speaker:I could feel my pains unraveling all this tension, and it's a
Speaker:beautiful thing. You know, I used to be focused on
Speaker:being just completely jacked and now, and it was a huge challenge
Speaker:for the ego as I dropped from that.
Speaker:But now I do love how I look.
Speaker:And I, you know, obviously took
Speaker:two pictures with people that were really lucky over here.
Speaker:But for me, it's like just knowing the functionality of the health,
Speaker:the true health and what it's done to my spirit.
Speaker:That has been a huge increase in benefit that I couldn't even
Speaker:compare to before on what you think how I look like right?
Speaker:And so that's where I speak on the mirror.
Speaker:Don't worry so much about, you know, shaping this up that way or
Speaker:this way. Compared to these people you see
Speaker:these giant butts or whatever.
Speaker:Like, it's yeah, it's nice having
Speaker:a little bigger, but I'm sitting on a hard chair right now and be
Speaker:nice that little more cushion like I used to but still needed that
Speaker:big so. When again, I'm just, I keep
Speaker:circling back to this because it feels like it's such a such a
Speaker:valuable thing that you've offered to people.
Speaker:Is this that you are part of the change.
Speaker:You are part of this great awakening and I see for so many of
Speaker:the people I interact with, it's so easy to get hooked into what
Speaker:they call doom scrolling.
Speaker:I don't know if you.
Speaker:Heard that? Yeah, absolutely, hundred percent % mindset just
Speaker:sitting there in a pissing match.
Speaker:Honestly, yeah, scrolling is a
Speaker:good way to put it.
Speaker:To continue on a small steps,
Speaker:yeah. Yeah, so I'm just curious into
Speaker:like what? What do you feel like if you
Speaker:haven't said it? Because you've covered some really
Speaker:beautiful stuff here that I think is a massive value to people and
Speaker:I'm just wondering.
Speaker:If you have any thoughts on like
Speaker:what people can do to help themselves to not focus too much
Speaker:energy on what is wrong, like it's good to know, we have to know
Speaker:these are the things that are being brought to us.
Speaker:This is what they say we have to do next, etcetera, etcetera.
Speaker:So then but then how to take that and go cool now I know.
Speaker:And now I'm going to take action in this direction.
Speaker:Are there any things that come up with you that you would advise or
Speaker:that reflections? Absolutely something anybody who
Speaker:follows me regularly, i've always, I've spoken often.
Speaker:It's a something I took from one of my mentors at my let the 9010
Speaker:rule and that being take 10 % of our time and energy focused that
Speaker:on problems which 10 % would really be identifying the problem
Speaker:and possibly what it could grow into and then 90 % of your time
Speaker:and energy focused on solutions.
Speaker:A lot of us get that backwards.
Speaker:Seems to be maybe just human nature, just how society is
Speaker:ingrained as we will spend 10 % of the time maybe identifying some
Speaker:solutions and 90 % of the time on the problem looking at the
Speaker:problem. And if you believe it all in
Speaker:manifestation, how would our inner world is our outer world?
Speaker:We're just bringing in more problems, telling the universe we
Speaker:want this problem.
Speaker:So just remember the 9010 rule was
Speaker:a huge benefit.
Speaker:You know my spending more than 10
Speaker:% of my time and energy looking at the problem.
Speaker:I already know what it is.
Speaker:Why do I need to keep staring at
Speaker:it? A lot of people would ask me, you
Speaker:know, in this community that we started to transition from all
Speaker:those things. I talked about the events and then
Speaker:I built the rank and then we did the yard in now and all these
Speaker:different things evolved from and all the people I've helped and the
Speaker:marches that I put on the and the speeches.
Speaker:So how do you have time for this show?
Speaker:How do you do all this? We have all these people coming on
Speaker:you. This is not.
Speaker:Well, for one, I could tell you I'm not sitting there scrolling,
Speaker:looking at all this stuff all day, and sitting in a victim mindset.
Speaker:At the beginning of everything.
Speaker:I got added to WhatsApp or
Speaker:Telegram, a couple of these things, and there was only three
Speaker:chats that people added me to, which were specifically supposed
Speaker:to be to connect.
Speaker:So I didn't.
Speaker:I didn't join all the other ones.
Speaker:That's all for just massive
Speaker:information. I never looked at any of them
Speaker:other than the notification that I saw a year and a half later, and
Speaker:there was something like 700,000 thousand messages unread.
Speaker:So I tell people, for one, I'm not looking at that, where you guys
Speaker:are all spending your time focusing on the problems, focusing
Speaker:on the problems.
Speaker:I'm not saying there's not a good
Speaker:information in there, not to keep yourself aware, but if you're very
Speaker:conscious on where your time and energy is going, you only have so
Speaker:much of it in a given day.
Speaker:9010 Rule, 9010 rule.
Speaker:That's a good one to remember for me.
Speaker:Yeah that's a good one for me as well.
Speaker:I mean, so cause you said something earlier.
Speaker:I don't remember what it was but it triggered a thought that I
Speaker:still have the thought which is that when this whole thing.
Speaker:Oh yes.
Speaker:I remember when you said when it
Speaker:first started this whole lockdowns and things you were like oh people
Speaker:weren't pay attention to this.
Speaker:I had exactly the same like
Speaker:literally I was here in South Africa because it comes up every
Speaker:year or two.
Speaker:They it's the new the swine this
Speaker:the SARS that the.
Speaker:Oh no, everyone gets scared some
Speaker:terrible things gonna kill us all and I've been through so many like
Speaker:I never pay attention to that because I know.
Speaker:I'm good.
Speaker:I've my immune system.
Speaker:I know how to take care of myself.
Speaker:Like, I know what's real in terms
Speaker:of actual health and healing, etcetera.
Speaker:So, i always ignore it.
Speaker:And then again, same thing like,
Speaker:oh, this isn't going away.
Speaker:And so I started trying to share
Speaker:and, you know, sharing facts on online, like, look, here's a
Speaker:statistic around this thing.
Speaker:That's what about that.
Speaker:And she's just caused so much polarity, just so much arguing.
Speaker:And I just, so I stopped.
Speaker:I was like, well, I don't want to.
Speaker:That's not my jam.
Speaker:I don't want to do that.
Speaker:And yet the voice, the feeling.
Speaker:Of what I do have a truth that
Speaker:doesn't match what's out there and I don't feel the need to speak it
Speaker:and I don't know how to do that and I really appreciate the way
Speaker:that you approached it.
Speaker:And actually what I ended up doing
Speaker:was I started writing long form spoken word poems.
Speaker:Now I've been a wordsmith for most of my life and I started writing
Speaker:these spoken word poems and the second or third one was we are
Speaker:already free, which has become the title of this of this podcast and
Speaker:it was amazing to witness the difference.
Speaker:When I shared that poem and I had no idea you said you've gone
Speaker:viral, like with your memes and everything.
Speaker:I've never had a viral, viral experience, which I love that
Speaker:name. But anyway, the.
Speaker:And suddenly people were sharing this poem everywhere and just
Speaker:saying, like, this is what I wanted to say, but I didn't have
Speaker:the words. And it was like, I realized, wow,
Speaker:I can focus on my truth and doing what I believe is right without it
Speaker:being a polarizing.
Speaker:Event yes, some people are going
Speaker:to shout at me about it and be upset about it and have stories
Speaker:about it and all the things, but I'm not doing it because I'm
Speaker:trying to prove someone wrong.
Speaker:I'm only doing it because it's my
Speaker:truth. And so I guess the question I have
Speaker:really is what I love to ask every guest guest is what do the words
Speaker:we are already free mean to you? Well, you know what I as I saw the
Speaker:name of your podcast, I instinctively came to mind on what
Speaker:that means to me.
Speaker:And as I hear your last
Speaker:conversation, I look over to my left here and see the lighthouse
Speaker:that I put here.
Speaker:That's what it is, being a
Speaker:lighthouse, right? Just shining your light so bright
Speaker:where the others that are just aimlessly flying around or just
Speaker:run to it and something resonates.
Speaker:I love that poetry that you
Speaker:putting out there love to check something out.
Speaker:That is something i enjoy writing question anytime I fall in love, i
Speaker:share such words.
Speaker:And actually singing is something
Speaker:I've been wanting to get into and creating music I think I'm going
Speaker:to execute on sometime soon.
Speaker:So as you as you ask that meaning
Speaker:is the internal sovereignty in the mind, knowing that we are free and
Speaker:we were given that sovereignty, the freedom over our being, the
Speaker:freedom of our speech, the freedom of our thought, and that we can
Speaker:hold that without giving it away.
Speaker:And it really comes down to an
Speaker:option, fear or faith.
Speaker:Choose fear.
Speaker:You're giving your power of thought away.
Speaker:You're allowing somebody to come in there and program that and do
Speaker:as they wish and control you.
Speaker:If they are able to access that
Speaker:faith, you're completely released.
Speaker:You're free.
Speaker:And it's where we all are already free.
Speaker:It's there so we're born with it and we can obtain it our whole
Speaker:life, no matter what happens to our physical form.
Speaker:We're so much more than that.
Speaker:Spiritual beings, living a human
Speaker:body experience. If you don't believe that, I
Speaker:highly suggest you start diving deep down, because that is one of
Speaker:the easiest things to find, and it is there, is a beautiful thing.
Speaker:Well said. Yeah, I love that.
Speaker:I mean, i feel like we could go
Speaker:in. So there's so many things that I
Speaker:would love to discuss with you.
Speaker:I think for now, let's bring this
Speaker:to a close and we'd love to have you on again to dive further into
Speaker:to some of the kind of doors we've opened.
Speaker:But the final thing I'd really love to ask is how can people find
Speaker:more of you? You are sharing such wonderful
Speaker:things with the world in various ways.
Speaker:And I know you've got new things coming and I just kind of where
Speaker:can people now get more of you? Absolutely, brother so.
